What are the benefits of IV Therapy?

IV therapy is one of the most effective ways to deliver nutrients, vitamins, and fluids to your body, and is more efficient than oral supplements. This technique bypasses your digestive system and is administered directly into your bloodstream. Your body is able to absorb the maximum amount of nutrients and fluids since nothing is lost as a result of the digestive process. In addition, vitamins and nutrients become immediately available to your cells for use for fast results.

Drip Runner offers 12 unique IV blends, each tailored to address a specific set of health goals. We also offer custom-blended IV treatments based on your needs. This means that you can improve your overall wellness by targeting your individual needs.

How does IV therapy work?

Intravenous (IV) fluid drips deliver saline solution through a small catheter and tubing directly into the bloodstream. This solution usually includes vitamins, minerals and medications that are tailored to the individual needs.

During therapy, the nurse inserts an IV line which is attached to a bag of saline solution. The bag is then hung above the patient’s head. IV therapy bags are designed to let gravity, as opposed to a syringe or other forced technique, carry fluid into the veins over time.

What can I expect at my appointment?

After you schedule your appointment at driprunner.us, you will receive a confirmation email and intake forms that you will need to fill out prior to your appointment. Your provider will arrive at your requested appointment time, date and location. Make sure you eat before your treatment and use the bathroom prior (if needed).

Create yourself a comfortable space (chair, bed, couch or lounge chair). Please keep any unfriendly pets away from your chosen treatment area. Your provider will confirm your personal information such as demographics, medical history and desired treatment with you. Your provider will discuss any concerns and check your vitals (if found necessary). Now it’s time to sit back and relax. We will take care of you!

An IV line will be carefully placed into a vein, usually in the crux of your elbow, where blood is drawn during a blood test. In some rare cases, an IV is placed into a vein in the top of the hand. With our experienced IV provider, inserting the IV will be virtually painless and once it is in, you may even forget it is there.

During the infusion, vitamins and nutrients will slowly drip from the IV line and enter your bloodstream. Depending on the type of infusion, most may take anywhere between 30-60 min. (4-5 hrs. for NAD infusions). Your provider will remain by your side the entire time, to ensure your comfort and well being.

After your treatment has come to an end your provider will comfortably remove the IV.

Who can get IV therapy?

Individuals, couples, families, business professionals, health enthusiasts and athletes are just a few of the types of people who can benefit from IV therapy. IV therapy can help improve overall health and wellbeing, boost energy levels, recover from illnesses more quickly, and address a variety of specific health targets and goals.

You are always welcome to email us (service@driprunner.us) if you are unsure if IV therapy is right for you. We’ll be happy to answer any questions you may have about our services.

Why are vitamins and antioxidants important?

Our bodies need a consistent amount of vitamins and minerals to promote homeostasis and optimal health. Vitamin deficiencies can contribute to a variety of acute and long-term conditions.

Antioxidants are an essential part of maintaining a healthy immune system, detoxifying your body and removing free radicals that can contribute to cellular damage. Antioxidants also play a role in energy production.

How long does an IV treatment take?

Depending on the type of infusion, most may take anywhere between 30-45 min. (4-5 hrs. for NAD infusions). Your provider will remain by your side the entire time, to ensure your comfort and well being.

When do I see results?

Most people notice results within 24-72 hours after the infusion. The effects of IV therapy are fast-acting, and many people notice a difference almost immediately feeling rehydrated, energized, and refreshed.

What are the potential side effects?

Not all treatments have the same side effects. Because of this, patients experience treatments differently than others. Please talk with your doctor or nurse about the possible side effects of your specific treatment. Your care team is here to support you and help you manage any side effects in the best way possible.

Does it hurt?

With our experienced nurses, inserting the IV will be virtually painless and once it is in, you may even forget it is there. If you are worried that you might experience a little pinch during the insertion of the needle, your nurse can numb the area with lidocaine spray prior.

Who is administering the IV treatment?

Our IV infusion specialists are all Registered Nurses (RN) who are trained and experienced in administering IV treatments. They are supervised by our Medical Director, who is an MD.

How long does IV therapy stay in my system?

IV fluids often remain in the body for a few hours after absorption. However, the nutrients, minerals, and medication in the fluids may stay in your body for days, weeks, or even months. This is very dependent on your body’s requirements and the sort of IV infusion you receive.
